This book provides a basic understanding of dyslexia and includes an overview on electric current studies, strategies, and consequences. Overall, a great introduction to the topic for both parents and educators.

Just what it says. An easy read. I read it in 2 sittings. It was 1 of the required readings for the get-go week of my first dyslexia certificate class. Another book, Overcoming Dyslexia by Dr. Sally Shaywitz, is considered to exist the guidebook for dyslexia. However, it took me months to read that book, then I recommend this Moats & Dakin book to anybody who would like an overview of the subject field and to parents of students struggling with reading who may not accept the time or energy to read the who Just what it says. An easy read. I read it in 2 sittings. It was 1 of the required readings for the kickoff week of my first dyslexia certificate class. Another book, Overcoming Dyslexia by Dr. Sally Shaywitz, is considered to exist the guidebook for dyslexia. Still, it took me months to read that book, so I recommend this Moats & Dakin book to everyone who would like an overview of the subject and to parents of students struggling with reading who may non have the time or energy to read the whole Shaywitz volume. ...more than

Great, easy read on current findings virtually dyslexia.

Limited pictures and graphics. Hopefully, they'll add together more visuals in later editions.

The last chapter is a list of resources that volition be very helpful to parents and teachers.

This was a great overview of the topic of dyslexia, including research and some instructional implications. It would exist proficient for families and teachers alike to understand some of the consequences of this disorder and some solutions moving forward.
